The American Political Science Association has given to Georgetown the Association's library amounting to more than 4,000 books, many journals, and the archives of the Association for more than sixty years. This very large and highly valuable collection of books, journals, and archives greatly enriches Georgetown's political science research resources. Arrangements for this gift were initiated by two members of the Associates Board of Trustees, Dr. Evron Kirkpatrick and Dean Donald Herzberg.

The economics library of Dr. Walter Edwards Beach has been presented to Georgetown by his widow, Liselotte von Usedom Beach, one of our Associates. Dr. Beach's study, teaching and research was at Stanford, Harvard, Bowdoin and Williams. He served the United States government many years as an economist and economic advisor. His library contained several hundred important books on money and banking, commodities, tariffs, international trade, economic theory, and other topics.
