Moby Dick

The library has acquired the Arion Press (San Francisco) edition of Herman Melville's Moby Dick, designed and printed by Andrew Hoyem with numerous wood-engraved illustrations by Barry Moser. This fine large edition reproduces the clear text of the forthcoming definitive edition of Melville's novel, and it is one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by an American private press.
