Kilmer Correspondence

Mr. Kenton Kilmer has provided us with additional correspondence of Joyce and Aline Kilmer, 84 letters dated 1916-1947. A good deal of this material concerns negotiations regarding the setting to music of "Trees" and other poems by both Joyce and Aline Kilmer. There are also letters from various American writers, including Louis Untermeyer and Theodore Maynard, family correspondence and a letter from one of Joyce Kilmer's grammar school teachers commenting on his poetry.
