The First Year

Four hundred alumni, faculty, students, corporations and friends of Georgetown have become charter members of the Library Associates. We are deeply grateful to all of you for your interest and support.

First year contributions amounted to more than $9,000 and a significant number of gifts of valuable books, journals, manuscripts, and documents.

Associates have attended two special exhibits of Georgetown's rare books and manuscripts. The Library presented for Associates a series of three evening discussions on books and manuscripts, with prominent authors, collectors, curators, and bibliophiles as guest speakers. Several exhibits, receptions, lectures and discussions are being planned for Associates during 1976-77.
