The Russell J. Bowen Collection on Intelligence, Spying, and Covert Activities, probably the largest such collection in an American university library, now numbers nearly 18,000 titles, and the closely related Spy Fiction Collection (also in large measure a gift of Colonel Bowen) now numbers nearly 4,000 titles. These totals have been reached thanks to the extended efforts of members of the Cataloging Department, who have all but completed the cataloging of the large gift of intelligence-related works donated in 1998 by Elizabeth Bancroft.
