Pietra Rivoli, associate professor at the McDonough School
of Business at Georgetown, spoke to Associates in June about The
Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy, the title
of her recent book on the political economy and ethics of
globalization and international trade. Prof. Rivoli traced
a t-shirt’s journey from the cotton fields of Texas
to factories in China, through the American South and finally
to Tanzania. Her book’s insights have resulted in countless
national and international speaking engagements for Professor
Rivoli. |
