Food For Fines

This April the Library is once again exchanging Food for Fines to raise donations for Bread for the City. For every canned good or nonperishable food item brought to Lauinger or Blommer Science Library from April 18 to May 2, one dollar in library fines will be removed from the patron's record. Bread for the City is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping vulnerable residents in Washington , D.C., and has been serving the community for over 30 years. Through the efforts of over 1,000 volunteers and the larger Washington , D.C. community, more than 10,000 people are served each month.
