How to get an article from OFF CAMPUS
1a) Fastest- Go to Journal Finder http://www1.tdnet.com/gtown
1b) In the Middle of the left side click on “Off-campus Login” You will have to type in your
name and GUID number
1c) Type in the name of the journal, best to use the drop down menu and select “exact string”
before clicking GO.
1c) Then look at the dates available and choose the database that best fits your needs. If not

There is another way to get articles from publishers, call the reference desk (202 687-7452) if
you find a link in GEORGE but not in Journal Finder
2a) 2-3 days- Type in the name of the journal and select “Journal Title” in WRLC’s Aladin

2b) Select a school that carries the journal.
2c) If an available journal volume year is found in the WRLC catalog, then click on the
“Request” button at the top of the record for that journal to order the article through the
Consortium Loan Service (CLS).
2d) You will have to fill out your name and GUID number.
2c) The article notification will go to your e-mail listed in the Aladin’s Consortium Loan Request
service. Most of the time the article will be linked from that e-mail. If not in Aladin, use
InterLibrary Loan.
3) 2 days -2 weeks- InterLibrary Loan (ILL) lets you request the article for free if not in any of
the above services.

How to get to an article from your office (ON CAMPUS)
1a) Fastest- Type in the name of the journal in GEORGE http://catalog.library.georgetown.edu/ (yes, it
has a new interface),
1b) If we have full access from the publisher we will should have it linked from GEORGE, if not
there
2a) A bit longer- Type in the name of the journal in Journal Finder

3a) 2-3 days- Type in the name of the journal and select “Journal
