Information for:

De Gruyter Content Freeze July 24-31

De Gruyter will be preparing to migrate into a new server infrastructure in order to improve access and performance of the De Gruyter Online platform and its content.

The planned date for the shift is July 31, 2014 (9:00am EDT15:00 CEST). While some customers may experience slight delays in seeing the new platform, the transition should not cause any disruption in service, and already-purchased content can be accessed as normal, without any delays or loss of availability.

Please note, however, that due to technical requirements, a content freeze will be in effect from July 24-31. This means that no new content will be uploaded onto the De Gruyter website during that time - new books and journals published with De Gruyter during this period will be updated to the website after August 1st.

Please contact eresources@georgetown.edu if you have any questions regarding this announcement.

Restoration of Federal Government E-Resources

With the end of the shutdown of the Federal Government today, October 17, 2013, most electronic resources managed by Federal agencies will again be updated or will have public access restored. At the time of this writing, a cursory search indicates that many government websites, including those managed by the Library of Congress, the Bureau of the Census, and the National Institutes of Health, have been restored for full public access.

Keep in mind that some agencies may take longer to restore access to all of their electronic assets.

If you have any questions, or experience any problems with government resources linked from Georgetown's library systems, please contact E-Resources at eresources@georgetown.edu.
