Study Carrels Now Available
for Short-term Use
- You must be a Georgetown University Main
Campus student, visiting
researcher, staff,
or faculty member.
- You may sign up for three
hours per day.
- No same-day reservations,
and no reservations
of more than a week
in advance.
- Unoccupied carrels are
available on the same
day on first-come,
first-served basis.
- Sign up in person at
the Access Services
Desk or call 687-7607;
you will need your
GOCard number to sign
up.
- Carrels are unlocked.
Do no leave personal
items unattended. The Library is not
responsible for stolen
items.
Study Carrel Policies
Violation of these
policies may lead to
forfeiture of carrel
privileges.
- Carrels are for individual use;
no more than one person
may be in the carrel
at any one time.
- The doors are to
remain unlocked.
- Do not leave laptops
or other materials
unattended in the
carrel. Lauinger Library
is not responsible
for any personal items
lost from the carrel.
- Items left in the
carrel overnight will
be removed to Access
Services Lost and
Found. Unclaimed items
will be sent to the
Department of Public
Safety (DPS) every
Wednesday.
- The doors will be
locked by circulation
staff one half hour
before the circulation
desk closes. Items
remaining in the carrel
will be locked in
until the carrels
are unlocked the next
morning that the Access
Services Desk opens.
DPS officers do not
have access to the
carrels.
- Any dispute over
usage will be resolved
by the Access Services
supervisor on duty.
- Please report any problems, suggestions,
or questions to the
Access Services supervisor
on duty in person
or by calling 687-7607.
