Thursday, April 19, 9:30 a.m.-Noon
Murray Room, Lauinger Library

Knowledge creation and communication among research scholars and teaching faculty is a central feature of the university. Scholarly communication is changing rapidly within all university disciplines, especially in areas of research collaboration, writing, and publishing. These trends affect how faculty and researchers undertake work and have an impact on authorship, editing, academic advancement, and use of resources. All areas of scholarly communication have been altered dramatically by the availability of digital networks. Please join us for what we hope will be a stimulating presentation and discussion on Transforming Scholarship in the Digital Age and what this means for your scholarly work. Our panel will include:

The goal of this presentation is to allow an open forum for wider discussion on how research and scholarship are being changed by the digital world. The symposium series is designed to build a foundation for continuing university dialogue surrounding initiatives in scholarly communication. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to Joan Cheverie.
