Who
CETS Serves
University Classes and Programs
Classroom Educational Technology Services' primary objective is
to support university classes identified by course number designated
by the Office
of the University Registrar. At the request of faculty, students,
and staff with course numbers CETS will provide technology and
audio-visual
service and support to the classroom free of charge. These services
for regularly scheduled classes also extend to incidental class
meetings,
such as review sessions, exams, make-up classes, film screenings,
guest lectures, combined classes, and other class meetings scheduled
by faculty with the Office of the University Registrar. Classes that
have not been reserved through the Office of the University Registrar
will not be
served.
- In order to guarantee quality service and available resources
we strongly recommend that you make a service request two business
days in advance.
We do support University programs that are class related that do
not have course numbers but have obtained a room from the
Office of the University Registrar. However, these events are subject
to staff and equipment availability and must be held during CETS
business hours.
Workshops, Institutes and Conferences (During
Classes)
CETS will provide equipment to workshops, institutes and conferences
which have been assigned space by the Office
of the University Registrar, or the Office of Campus Activity
Facilities. CETS will not provide service to departmental conference
rooms, offices, or other spaces on campus not scheduled by either
of these offices.
CETS provides year-round service to workshops, institutes and conferences
in
multiple-media classrooms, where technology is permanently installed,
and to events being held in the ICC Auditorium and ICC Galleria.
- During the Fall and Spring academic terms, there is no delivery
or loan services for workshops, institutes and conferences
outside of multiple-media
classrooms and the ICC Auditorium and Galleria.
Workshops, Institutes and Conferences (During
Breaks and Intersession)
CETS will provide technology and media to classrooms and seminar
rooms scheduled by the Office
of the University Registrar in the following buildings: Healy,
ICC, New North, Reiss, St. Mary's, Walsh, and White Gravenor. In spaces
that do not contain built-in technology, and where delivery of equipment
is not practical, CETS will make available portable equipment, which
conference organizers may pick up from, and return to, ICC 121 during
CETS hours of operation.
