Workshop,
Institute and Conference Services
Subject to the needs of Main Campus scheduled
classes, CETS makes available multiple-media classrooms, computer
teaching labs, delivered portable equipment and loan equipment
for Workshops, Institutes and Conferences (WICS) using Main Campus
classrooms and seminar rooms.
What is a "Workshop, Institute or Conference?" It is any event where
a majority of the attendees are guests of the University, that is,
they are not faculty, staff or students of the University.
Because
of the CETS mandate to service scheduled classes, we are required
to charge for our services to these users to help defray costs. However,
there remain no
charges for University business uses of classroom technology, such
as presentations for Prospective Students, or Commencement Activities. All
non-class uses of CETS services in the ICC Auditorium and Galleria
incur fees, including purely "internal" University
business
Please note: There is no CETS Service
provided on Sundays prior to 12:30 p.m., nor is access granted
to any built-in classroom technology.
If you need classroom technology on a
Sunday morning, please contact Mariott Conference Services at (202)
687-3230.
Please review the following details about, and procedures for
obtaining, CETS Services for WICs.
