What Can Be Done?

• Create and edit documents using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Do research using Library catalogs and databases
• Browse the Web and do email
• View DVDs, watch videos placed on the streaming server, listen to music on CDs or the streaming server (check out headphones from the Gelardin New Media Center Service Desk)
• Seven PC workstations are set up for Image Creation and Editing and GIS; see Image Creation and Editing or GIS page for further info on the features of these workstations

Where Can it Be Done? — Facilities

• Gelardin New Media Center — 1st Floor — Lauinger Library
• Hours — The General Computing Area is open when the Stacks and Pierce Reading Room are open, which is usually 24 hours a day, except from 3-5 am on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
