The collection includes one long sonnet sequence of 22 leaves, dealing in part with the Marche region of Italy, with some anti-clerical overtones. Also among the material is a verse letter addressed to Salvatore Vanni from ex-Canon Celli asking for financial assistance. Perhaps the most interesting items are the two recipes for the making of vermouth and aqua vitae. There are two printed items, both written during the fascist period, one entitled "Il Modernismo," being a clever attack by Canon Fabriano upon the various religious fads of the time. * * * * * * *
