This is an collection of late seventeenth-century Latin letters relating to the Church and esp. to the Society of Jesus, all bound into one volume. Among other places, they emanate from or discuss Genoa,the South Pacific, the Philippines, Lisbon, Austria, the Balkans, Japan,China, Indochina, Paraguay, Brazil, and Mexico.
ACCESSION DATA: Apparently purchased by George Schwarz in Vienna in the early 1850s,probably bound at his order there, and given to Georgetown in 1854.
