REV. JOHN F. QUIRK, SJ PAPERS
Quirk (1859-1922) received a usual Jesuit education--Boston
College,Frederick, and Woodstock. He held a number of significant
positions:president of Boston College and Loyola College, as well as
teaching at Fordham, Gonzaga, and Georgetown. Two of his brothers were
priests,including Rev. Edward A. who is represented in this collection.
