DESCRIPTION: 25 TLS. The correspondence contains a carbon of a letter from the Dept. of Justice giving Barbee permission to see files re: the pardon of Dr. Samuel Mudd. DRB (1874-1958) was a newspaper reporter in Washington DC. His interest in the assassination of Lincoln led him tow rite several articles and an unpublished book-length manjscript entitle "Lincoln and Booth". His correspondence with Margaret Bearden coves every aspect of the assassination.
