One letter dated 12/22/1900 refers to a check sent to EEL by the company and to confusion over EEL's permanent address. Charles E. Oak, Division Superintendent at Augusta, Maine, writes: "most of your letters have been from Pittsfield, consequently considered that your address, although I find a few from Clinton. . . . Please give me your permanent address. . . ." One receipt reports International Paper Company received a shipment of spruce wood from EEL. In another letter, Edwin Riley, Division Superintendent at Livermore Falls, Maine, writes: "Please send all notices of shipments to this office, promptly, as soon as cars are loaded."
