DESCRIPTION: 2 notebooks, 1 of which was probably kept by Richard T. Crane, the other by A. W. Burket. The ledger kept by Crane concerns finances on the Middle Six Farm in South Boston, Va. The other ledger seems to regard bank deposits by Burket for the Cranes and may concern Berry Hill Plantation.

DESCRIPTION: 2 notebooks kept by Richard T. Crane. The first book is a visitors book kept by Crane and his wife, recording guests they entertained, including names such as Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt; M. and Mme. Jusserand; the ambassadors of Britain, Japan and Germany; Wilbur J. Carr; Oliver Wendell Holmes and Charles Evans Hughes. The second notebook is a ledger keptabout on various properties.
