Carroll Parlor: Permanent exhibition of works from the Georgetown University Art Collection

Link to Art Collection and Special Collections Exhibits

The Georgetown University Art Collection strives to make as much of its work available for public view as often as possible, through both permanent and changing exhibits.

The motivations for changing exhibits can arise from a number of sources. Some are in response to teaching and instructional requests from faculty; some commemorate events of significance to the University; some are in recognition of gifts and other acquisitions to the collection; and some reflect the interests of the curatorial staff.

Currently on view in the Charles Marvin Fairchild Memorial Gallery, on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library, through July 31, 2008 is Revealing the Light: Mezzotint Engravings at Georgetown University featuring over thirty examples of the demanding printmaking process, ranging from the eighteenth century through the present day.

Selections from the permanent collection are on view in Carroll Parlor in Healy Hall. Click here for more information on Carroll Parlor.
