The Charles Marvin Fairchild Memorial Gallery is on the fifth floor of Georgetown University's Lauinger Library, at 3700 O Street NW (click here for campus map).
The Fairchild Gallery is open 8:00 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
Visitors to the Library must provide photo identification.

The Charles Marvin Fairchild (SFS '48) Memorial Gallery was established in 1997 through the generous donation of Elizabeth (Mrs. Charles Marvin) Fairchild, to provide a permanent exhibition venue for changing selections from the Georgetown University Art Collection's holdings of works on paper and other small objects.

Reception

Opening Reception: September 19, 2007

Gallery viewing starts at 5:00 pm, with a panel discussion at 6:00 followed by a reception. Please RSVP to Solerp@georgetown.edu.

Public Transportation: Metrobus G2 serves the 37th and O Street entrance to campus (marked with a red X on the map below). G2 stops near the Shaw and Dupont Circle Metrorail stations. Metrobus D6 serves the Reservoir Road entrance to Georgetown University; from there, it is a ten minute walk to Healy Hall. Metro Connection shuttles serve M Street and Wisconsin Avenue, within a few blocks of campus, from the Rosslyn, Dupont Circle, and Foggy Bottom Metrorail stations.

Parking: Parking is two dollars in the Southwest Garage during weekday evenings. The garage is located beneath the Southwest Quadrangle, shown as #41 on the map below Entrance to the Southwest garage is either via westbound Canal Road or the western terminus of Prospect Street.

Based on map below: From the Southwest Garage, there are two elevators leading to ground level: One at Kennedy Hall (40) and one at O'Donovan Dining Hall (43). From either of those exits, proceed up the hill on the road marked Library Walk to Lauinger Library (63). When you enter Lauinger Library, you will be asked to show photo identification and to sign in. Take the elevators at your left to the fifth floor. You will see the Fairchild Gallery and the Murray Room to your left.
