Student Publishing Roundtable

Thursday, March 19, 1:30 PM, Murray Room, Lauinger Library

  • What should you know about copyright and publication agreements?
  • How do you get your content published? And in what formats: print, digital, or both?
  • What’s your business model?
  • How do you get your content noticed?
  • What kind of web presence should you have? How do you get it?
  • How do you plan so that your publication will keep going once you graduate?
  • Should you archive your content?

Current publications staff and those interested in joining are invited to come discuss these questions and more with our panel of experts in the afternoon. Panelists including Dr. Richard Brown, Director of GU Press; Meg Oakley, Head of Copyright at the University Library; and current student staff will discuss the practical challenges of running a student publication.
