Join the Library Associates and Georgetown Music Program for the 2015 Opening Friday Music Series Concert starring Rebecca Gates

Concert is at 1:15 PM in McNeir Auditorium, New North Hall

Reception to follow in the Fairchild Gallery on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library, with a viewing of the companion exhibition Popular Music at Georgetown, 1900-2015 in the Leon Robbin Gallery

The annual collaboration between the University Library and the Music Program will feature Rebecca Gates, U.S. based musician, curator, artist and audio editor. She has released five albums, three as leader of the critically acclaimed group The Spinanes (Sub Pop); toured internationally; and appeared as a vocalist on numerous records by artists as wide ranging as The Decemberists and Willie Nelson. Entertainment Weekly notes, "…she might just possess the sexiest voice in rock."

The Georgetown University Music Program’s Friday Music Series features acclaimed artists in free concerts on Fridays at 1:15 p.m. at Georgetown.
