A great application for building and creating mostly from-scratch website layouts using Adobe's web authoring tools. Only recommended for either (1) trained designers, (2) useres committed to learning a complex design tool, or (3) users who need a tool for quick HTML editing.

Pros:

  • WYSIWYG display - ideal for web designers, web developers, and visual designers.
  • Files can be shared and edited within other Adobe applications
  • Supports leading web development technologies, including HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Ajax, PHP, Adobe ColdFusion software, and ASP.

 

Cons:

  • Not recommended for users without web-design experience. Users seeking easy website-generation tools should explore options such as www.wordpress.com.
  • For creating more complex sites, understanding of html/css is a must.
