Hands-on Video Production Techniques

This hands-on workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to learn how to set up a professional, yet basic production shoot. This includes learning how to capture quality audio and video footage using both DSLR and HD video cameras, as well as touching on the fundamentals of cinematography and lighting techniques. Planning for Video Production

This workshop will walk participants through the most important phase of video production, which is "pre-production" (the planning phase). Different types of shotlists, scripts, and video clips will be shown during this time to give you a feel of how planning is actually applied to a completed video project. The instructor will also demo and explain best practices for a basic video production equipment set-up. Register for this workshop.

Gelardin Workshop Policies

If you register for one of our workshops, make sure that you arrive at the Gelardin New Media Center a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start time. If you need to cancel your registration, please email gelardin@georgetown.edu  48 hours before the workshop so that we can contact people on the waitlist. If you prefer to cancel your registration yourself, create an account with www.eventbrite.com using the same email address that you used to register for our workshop. We charge a $20 no-show fine to your library account for each workshop that you miss.
