Has Congress ever met at the University?

When Washington was burnt by the British in 1814, Old North became the largest undamaged structure in the area.  The Georgetown Council, having been assured of the University’s cooperation, authorized Mayor John Peter to make Georgetown available to the federal government as an interim capital.  However, federal authorities did not act upon this offer.
