We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

Protect Your Laptop!

Protect your laptop! Lauinger Library has partnered with the Department of Public Safety, the Student Safety Advisory Board and University Information Services to help eliminate laptop thefts in the Library and around campus. On Monday, February 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., we’ll be hosting an information fair in Lauinger’s lobby with experts who will provide details about effective locks and state-of-the-art tracking options. Stop by with your laptop to learn what kind of laptop lock to use and how tracking software can help recover your property! And if you’re in Lauinger or Blommer Science Library, visit the Circulation Desk and check out a laptop lock anytime (just as you would a book). We’re also working on other ways to help keep your items safe—stay tuned for more details!
