Nature Plants

The global significance of plants cannot be overstated. Through their harvesting of the sun's energy, plants are fundamental to the creation of environments capable of supporting other forms of complex life. They provide the raw materials for many human endeavours in the form of food, clothing, energy, shelter and the complex chemicals on which our modern world is based.

Named in honor of the renowned Russian botanist, an expert on Salicaceae, Betulaceae, and Onagraceae A.K. Skvortsov (1920-2008), Skvortsovia is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles and monographs in plant science, especially those covering all aspects of Salicology.
