16:9: a Danish Journal of Film Studies

Publisher: 16:9 Filmtidsskrift

16:9 is an independent Danish film magazine with an academic dimension. We focus on combining the well-written with the original, and so we attempt to pull the film out of the claws of literary criticism and examine the film at the film's premises.

Issues will contain assessments, reviews, essays and debates - and common to the articles is that they are longer and more analytical in their approach, than it is seen in the newspapers and webmagazines that currently dominate Danish film coverage.

Submissions accepted in Danish, English and Norwegian.
