19&20: Arte Brasileira do Seculo XiX e Inicio do XX
Publisher: Dezenove Vinte
19&20 is dedicated exclusively to the study of Brazilian art of the nineteenth century and first decades of the twentieth century, addressing issues related to the visual arts in general (painting, sculpture, architecture, applied art / decorative, etc..) as well as the artistic literature, art education and the institutions that preserve the heritage of the period.
The main goal of 19&20 is to promote an expansion of the references about art and artists of nineteenth-century Brazil, beyond the excessively low limits delimited in our history, until very recently. To this end, the journal is open to various historical and theoretical approaches, accepting contributions from all Brazilian states and other countries that can demonstrate the mutual interconnection between the various categories and levels of the Brazilian artistic field, as well as of the international, thus illuminating the areas of cross-cultural contact.
