Acta Baltico-Slavica. Archeologia, historia, ethnographia et linguarum scientia

Acta Baltico-Slavica (ABS) is an annual journal which explores Baltic
– Slavic cultural, historical, and linguistic interactions. It is a
publication containing

numerous articles and dissertations which present the results of
original and advanced research, and otherwise scarce materials
produced in the course of

wide-ranging investigations as well as the reviews and discussions of
various Polish and foreign publications on the aforementioned
subjects. Quite a lot of

space is devoted in the Journal to those works that review and report
on the linguistic and ethno-linguistic situation at the borderline
between the Baltic and

Slavonic areas as well as the situation of Slavonic ethnic minorities
in the the Baltic region and Slavonic groups in the area of the former
Great Duchy of

Lithuania (at present involving territories of Belarus and Lithuania,
northern-eastern provinces of Poland, mainly the Podlasie region) and
Latvia – in

particular the Latgalia.

The journal also publishes those papers which adopt new
interpretations of data on history and culture. The works are often
illustrated with photographs,

maps, tables and other visual material as appropriate.
