Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica presents original articles of basic research interest,
as well as clinical studies in the field of orthopedics and related subdisciplines.

Ever since Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica was founded in 1930, by a group of
Scandinavian orthopedic surgeons, the journal has been published for an international
audience. The Acta is owned by the Nordic Orthopedic Federation and is the official
publication of the Nordic Orthopedic Federation and the Netherlands Orthopedic

Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica publishes original papers from all parts of the world.
Articles requiring extensive space, such as monographs, doctoral theses and congress
transactions, are published as supplements. Over the years, Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica
has issued more than 300 supplements.

It is a bi-monthly publication and access to older issues are free dating back to 2000.
