(NJ Editor 3 April 2009)

Publisher: Science Press, Beijing

Founded in 1935, Acta Zoologica Sinica is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed
international journal of zoology. It publishes primary research papers
in all fields of zoological sciences. Once accepted, the manuscripts
will be published in less than four months. The journal has been an
important medium for zoologists from China and other countries to
communicate research results and discuss challenging scientific
questions. It has a large readership, including the more than 12
thousand members of the China Zoological Society. Although it publishes
papers in either Chinese or English languages, the journal particularly
welcomes contributions in English to promote more effective scientific
communication and the internationalization process of this journal.
