Advances in Theoretical Economics
Publisher: Berkeley Electronic Journals
Advances in Theoretical Economics publishes articles that make
significant advances in theoretical economics; articles that would be
suitable for publication in a top field journal within theoretical
economics or a good general interest journal.
We welcome submissions in all areas of economic theory, including
decision theory, game theory, general equilibrium theory, and the theory
of economic mechanisms. Papers devoted to applied issues are suitable
when they contain original theoretical contributions.
When an author submits an article for possible publication, he or she is
actually submitting it simultaneously to all four of The B.E. Journals
in Theoretical Economics (although it will appear in at most one of
them). A submitted article is then assigned a single editor, who
oversees the editorial process, and who ultimately decides whether the
submission should be rejected, sent back for revisions, or accepted. If
the editor chooses to accept the submission, then he or she decides in
which of the four journals it would be most appropriate. The editorial
decision is based on reviews of the submission by peers.
