AGORA is a refereed electronic journal of graduate scholarship in.
Implicit in the journal name, and forming the journal focus, is a public
forum of debate and dialogue that addresses issues of critical scholarship
in the literary arts, public space, the nature of communication, and
humanistic studies as they relate to the academic and general community.

AGORA publishes articles on literary humanities from the Eighteenth
through Twentieth Century as related to the histories of communication,
the development of the Modern consciousness, popular culture, critical
theory, readership and reading as well as to issues of current cultural
transformations and communications technologies.

The first issue of AGORA is scheduled for September 2001.
