This online version of the international print journal of the same name is
published semimonthly (except monthly in April and September) by Academic
Press, Inc. through a program titled IDEAL (International Digital
Electronic Access Library). Analytical Biochemistry publishes original
material on methods and methodology of interest to the biological sciences
and all fields that impinge on biochemical investigation.

Publishing Methods in

Analytical techniques
Membranes and membrane proteins
Molecular genetics: cloning, sequencing, and mutagenesis
Novel methods of protein purification
Immunological techniques applicable to biochemistry
Immunoassays that introduce a unique approach
Cell biology
General cell and organ culture
Pharmacological and toxicological research techniques

Analytical Biochemistry includes two additional major sections

Reviews: review articles on methods for biological and biochemical
sciences
Notes and Tips: a new section featuring methods that can be
summarized in a shorter format allowing more rapid
publication, including helpful "kitchen tricks"

Some articles appearing in the December 15. 1996 issue of the Journal
include: 'Separation of Biosynthetic Oligosaccharide Branch Isomers Using
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography on a Porous Two-Dimensional
Graphite Stationary Phase', 'Use of Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass
Spectrometry for the Quantitation of the Binding and Uptake of Colloidal
Gold-Low-Density Lipoprotein Conjugates by Cultured Cells', and 'Combining
the Preparation of Oligonucleotide Arrays and Synthesis of High-Quality
Primers'.

Subscription to this electronic journal involves licensing agreements with
academic and industrial networks or consortia of libraries and can not be
done on a personal or even title by title basis. However, the table of
contents and article abstracts for each issue are available online
free-of-charge. Articles are provided to members of subscriber
institutions in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format.
