Ethnography, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
This periodical has as its purpose the presentation and analysis of
materials relating to the archaeology, ethnology and anthropology of
Eurasia, including North and Central Asia. The editorial board would also be
interested in materials that extend the understanding of Eurasia to the
Pacific Rim, and, where appropriate, to the Americas.
The journal publishes papers and develops discussions on a wide range of
research problems, e.g. Quaternary geology; Pleistocene and Holocene
paleoecology; methodology and methods of archaeological, anthropological and
ethnographical research, including field and laboratory study techniques;
information technologies; migrations of early populations; paleosocilogical
and paleoeconomic reconstruction; evolution of human physical type; modern
methods of paleopopulation genetics; primitive art; astroarchaeology; and
cultures of indigenous populations and ethnocultural processes.
The journal also publishes results of field investigations conducted by
archaeologists, anthropologists, and ethnologists, and announcements of
symposia and professional meetings. It is the goal of this publication to
provide authors with an international forum for the presentation of their
materials and ideas.
