A peer-reviewed, primary source journal with a strong clinical and

scientific focus. The Archives publishes original clinical and research

studies as well as practical, hands-on articles on clinical topics,

technological advances, practice and information management, clinical

decision-making, preventive medicine, and other issues central to this

advancing discipline. 'Practice Commentaries' written by practicing

physicians offer a clinical perspective to the journal's original


Letters to the editor, abstracts, and selected full-text articles are

available in the online version. Images from the journal are not provided,

and some of the articles are not accessible online.

available at AMA until January 2012. When AMA no longer maintained the archive,
