Biomechanics and Modeling in Mechanobiology

Content available at:

Publisher: Springer Berlin / Heidelberg

Biomechanics and Modeling in Mechanobiology promotes basic and applied
research that integrate knowledge in the allied fields of biomechanics and
mechanobiology. The journal highlights approaches that are experimental,
theoretical, or computational and that address phenomena at the nano, micro,
or macro levels.

This journal focuses on investigations that quantify the mechanical
environment in health, disease, or injury, or identify and quantify
mechanosensitive responses and their mechanisms. The journal also focuses on
papers that detail interrelations between mechanics and biological processes
or report discoveries that advance therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Analytical and computational models based on solid mechanics, fluid
mechanics, or thermomechanics and their interactions are strongly
emphasized. In addition, the journal encourages reports on new experimental
methods that expand measurement capabilities and new mathematical methods
that facilitate analysis.
