Cell Communication and Signaling [Open Access]

Publisher: BioMed Central

Cell Communication and Signaling is a peer-reviewed, open access, online
journal encompassing all aspects of the identification and function of
receptors, ligands, and other biomolecules participating in the outward
and inward cellular signaling pathways in normal and pathological

Cell-cell, cell-matrix, and cell-environment interactions often modulate
or even override programmed patterns of cell behavior. In this respect,
signaling is critical for normal cell growth and development, and
abnormal signaling pathways have been associated with several human

Cell Communication and Signaling strongly encourages reports of studies
incorporating morphological, biochemical, molecular and physiological
approaches, as well as innovative in vitro models that facilitate
investigation of cell networks and cell behavior. The journal is devoted
to the publication of Research articles, Reviews and Commentaries, and
all accepted articles are open access - freely and universally
accessible online.

Cell Communication and Signaling has enlisted the services of an
Editorial Board with a broad expertise in the areas of cell-cell
communication, cell signaling, and cell matrix interactions. Each member
of the Board is involved with strong research programs into many aspects
of normal and pathological cell and tissue functions, and will make
every effort to fulfil the mandate of the journal. The Board promise to
conduct and facilitate unbiased and critical reviews of manuscripts and
will strive to expedite communication of work that is original,
scientifically sound and especially thought provoking. We invite
feedback and criticism that will help to bring recognition to the
journal and promote it as a preferred medium for communication within
the field.
