Doxology: A Journal of Worship

Doxology: A Journal of Worship

Doxology is a refereed scholarly journal. Through the academic and
pastoral conversations developed in Doxology, the journal seeks to
promote the corporate worship of the church, and more

specifically, “to encourage the church to worship with vitality and
integrity, appropriating the rites and services of the church,
historically and ecumenically grounded, which enable us to worship

together in the name of Jesus Christ” and to “honor the worship
traditions of the past and seek to be open to new ways of expressing
the heritage of faith they embody in ways that speak to us

and for us in the present.” While, on the one hand, we seek to “lift
up the sacraments” we also seek through the same to apply a magnifying
lens to them through scholarly conversation and

critique. Doxology also seeks to create a venue that is ecumenical yet
with a decidedly protestant emphasis.
