Geochemical Transactions is a new electronic journal published by the
Royal Society of Chemistry, in collaboration with the Division of
Geochemistry of the American Chemical Society, which serves as a medium
for the rapid publication of high quality research in all areas of
chemistry as it relates to materials and processes occurring in the
Earth's aquasphere and geosphere. It will specifically include work in the
following areas:

Organic Geochemistry Inorganic Geochemistry Aquatic Chemistry Marine
Chemistry and Chemical Oceanography Biogeochemistry Investigations of
Organic, Inorganic, and Biogeochemical Processes Molecular and Isotopic
Analyses Chemical and Elemental Cycles Geochemical Aspects of Global
Change Instrumental or Analytical Techniques applying to the
aforementioned Numeric or Computational Models of these processes.

Geochemical Transactions features electronic ‘enhancements’, such as data
that can be downloaded for a reader’s use and animations of, for example,
global circulation models or geologic flow and convection. The use of
high resolution full colour and 3D figures effectively communicates
results of the latest geochemical research (eg phase relationship
diagrams).

Geochemical Transactions is endorsed by the Scholarly Publishing and
Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) under its 'Alternatives' project,
which encourages and supports projects that provide an alternative to
existing high- priced titles in important and established STM fields.
