Global Social Policy advances the understanding of the impact of
globalisation upon social policy and social development.
The journal analyzes the contribution of a range of international actors to
global social policy and social development discourse and practice, and
encourages discussion of the implications for social policy of the dynamics
of the global economy.
Global Social Policy publishes scholarly articles and policy-related reports
that focus on aspects of social policy and social and human development
(broadly defined to include health and disability, social security and
social assistance, education, employment, food, crime and security,
including gender and ethnic dimensions of these) in the context of
globalisation. It welcomes articles from a variety of disciplines that
address social issues and policies in the context of an international
