The Journal of Early Childhood Research provides an international forum for
the dissemination of early childhood research, bridging cross-disciplinary
areas and applying theory and research within the professional community.
This reflects the world-wide growth in research on learning and development
in early childhood and the impact of this on provision. The journal will
have particular relevance to policy-makers and practitioners working in
fields related to early childhood.

The Journal of Early Childhood Research will promote high-quality,
international early childhood research findings from the forefront of
current theory and practice. Research that generates new knowledge to
enhance the lives of young children, their families and educators.

The Journal of Early Childhood Research will be interdisciplinary in scope,
since educational studies has traditionally drawn from psychology,
sociology, philosophy, the history and law of education. The journal will
draw upon a number of related fields in early childhood.
