J.UCS (Journal of Universal Computer Science)
J.UCS was founded in 1994 with a pilot issue. Since January
1995 each month a new issue has appeared, making J.UCS one
of the oldest and successful electronic journals. Vol.1 and
vol.2 (i.e. 1995 and 1996 ) have also appeared in printed
form in the meantime, the others are scheduled to also
appear in this form (paper plus CD ROM) for archival
J.UCS stands for Journal of Universal Computer Science, i.e.
covers all areas of Computer Science, following the
classification scheme used by ACM. It is a fully refereed
journal, an has been free of charge, so far. Springer
Verlag, the company behind it, is planning to offer it
comemrcially for US $100.- as site subscription fee at some
future stage. No date for this has been set.
