John M. Higgins has compiled THE NET-LETTER GUIDE to free online
newsletters for reporters and other non-techie newshounds. Recent list
additions include AsiaInfo, Education Policy Digest, Legal Bytes, and
Patent News. Send a "SUBSCRIBE NET-LETTER" subject line or message to
higgins@dorsai.dorsai.org, or watch for it on rec.mag, alt.etext,
alt.internet.services, or the *.answers newsgroups.

More-comprehensive e-publication lists include The E-Zine-List by John
Labovitz (http://www.ora.com:8080 /johnl/e-zine-list/, or FTP
pub/Zines/e-zine-list from etext.archive.umich.edu); the giant e-pub
archive (ftp.etext.org; gopher.etext.org; www.etext.org); and Factsheet
Five-E (gopher.well.sf.ca.us). [Annamaria T. Profit
(sg93zq22@dunx1.ocs.drexel.edu), 7/11/94.] (Several people could start
for-pay newsletter businesses just by extracting the "good stuff" from
all the newsletters Higgins cites. Finding news sources is easy;
building a community of customers is not.)
