SCI ONLINE NEWS is published to serve members of the Society of Com-
posers, Inc., by providing up-to-date information on professional opportuni-
ties. SCION is not a replacement of, but an addition to, the SCI NEWSLETTER.
In distributing news via E-mail on the Internet, SCION represents the fastest
method of conveying time-sensitive material to our members.
We issue SCION on the first Monday of the month, at a minimum; extra
editions appear as warranted. This means that, should a news item with a
very close deadline be received at SCI, it will not be held until the next
regular monthly issue. It will be released immediately in an extra issue.
News items are repeated in successive issues of SCION until deadlines
have expired. Therefore, it is not necessary for new subscribers to request
back issues in order to receive all current information. Repeated items ap-
pear at the end of the issue, so that they may be easily deleted if desired.
Any SCI member is eligible to receive SCION at no extra charge above
his/her standard membership dues. Simply send the message with
your name, E-mail address, and postal address, via E-mail (Internet) to:
SCI@vaxa.weeg.uiowa.edu
Upon verification of your current membership status, your E-mail address
will be added to the distribution list.
SCION is distributed only via E-mail; we do not print or mail copies.
Subscribers may, of course, download and print SCION on their own computers
and printers.
