We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

Collections on the Move

In preparation for the Special Collections Research Center Renovation, some Library materials have been relocated from the fifth floor. Books with call numbers between PQ 8180 and PR 1180 have moved from the fifth floor stacks to the stacks on the second floor behind the DVD collection. This range includes books related to Portuguese and English literature. Please note that this includes all PR 1180 books prior to PR 1181—for example, PR 1180.99 will be on the second floor.

Remember, if you’re ever having trouble finding an item, the Library’s Circulation Desk staff are always available to help. In addition, you can page a book by clicking “Request” at the top of the page in the catalog. Library staff will find the book for you and have it ready for pick-up at the service desk of your choice!
