Friday Music Series: Early Modern Italian Music

Join the Library Associates and the Georgetown Music Program for the 2017 Opening Friday Music Series Lecture, Luncheon and Concert. The Georgetown University Music Program’s Friday Music Series features acclaimed artists in free concerts on Fridays at 1:15 p.m. at Georgetown.

The lecture will feature Anthony DelDonna, Professor of Musicology, Georgetown and Guido Olivieri, Senior Lecturer in Musicology, University of Texas at Austin and will take place 10:30 am in the Booth Family Center for Special Collections, Lauinger Library, 5th Floor. The lecturers will discuss the concert's companion exhibition, Early Modern Italian Music.

Following the discussion, guests are invited to enjoy lunch together and explore the exhibition before the concert at 1:15pm in McNeir Auditorium in New North Hall. This year's concert will feature a performance from Modern Musick, featuring Risa Browder, violin, Leslie Nero, violin, John Moran, cello and Dongsok Shin, harpsichord.
